SCOTT.HANLEY@RAYMONDJAMES.COM

Since 1995, when he entered the business, Scott has seen his clients through many financial market cycles. He enjoys teaching clients about investing and how the stock market works because it helps them understand how their portfolios fit into their overall financial picture. It also shows them how their investments are designed to help them pursue their short- and long-term goals.

Scott was inspired to join the financial services industry by his father, Dan, who was a financial advisor for more than 45 years. He also had the privilege of having his dad as his business mentor for 14 years when the two worked together at the same firm. You might say that Scott’s founding of North Road Wealth Partners is the culmination of his father’s inspiration and his own aspiration to serve the best interests of clients.

Dedicated to professionalism, Scott has achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional designation. In order to be awarded this designation, Scott completed the rigorous CFP® certification process and continues to meet ongoing certification renewal requirements. Scott also offers clients some two decades of experience he’s gained by working at such firms as Wells Fargo Advisors, Wachovia Securities, A.G. Edwards & Sons and Prudential Securities.

Scott has also been recognized for his work as a financial advisor. His honors include being named among “America's Best Financial Planners” by the Consumers' Research Council of America*.

A native of Massachusetts, Scott attended St. Anselm College where he earned a bachelor’s in applied economics. Today he lives in Ayer with his wife, Heather. The couple has three children.

*Consumers' Research Council of America is an independent research firm based in Washington, D.C. that evaluates professional services. WHY WORK WITH A CFP®

In life, it’s important to find a financial planner you trust to provide sound, unbiased advice and professional services. Being CFP® certified means someone has voluntarily taken the extra steps needed to provide the highest possible standard of financial planning to those they serve. To become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional one must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam, have a minimum of three years’ professional experience in financial planning process and must be approved by the CFP Board, which involves an extensive background check – including an ethics, character and criminal check. To maintain certification, CFP® license holders must complete 30 hours of continuing education accepted by the CFP Board every two years.

How does working with a CFP® certified advisor benefit you? CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals are held to the utmost standards of ethics and professional responsibility, which prepares them for a career-long commitment to provide truly personalized services to meet your needs; all while maintaining high levels of financial planning and professionalism. CFP® professionals maintain their professional edge through ongoing education and training in addition to the rigorous requirements to represent a high level of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when working with you.
